According to David Ray Griffin (God, power and evil) a classical theistic concept of God would fall apart according to the following progressive development:
  1. God is a perfect reality.
  2. A perfect reality is an omnipotent being
  3. An omnipotent being could unilaterally bring about an actual world without any genuine evil.
  4. A perfect reality is a morally perfect being.
  5. A morally perfect being would want to bring about an actual world without any genuine evil.
  6. If there is genuine evil in the world then there is no God.
  7. There is genuine evil in the world.
  8. Therefore there is no God.

I look forward to see how he dismantles the argument. I have a sneaky process hunch numbers 2 and 3 will be under considerable attack!
