Serving - our highest calling
As we surrender our will (or consent our will to God) in simplicity "what then?" we may ask. In our daily comings and goings that is often all that is required - An attentiveness and ready availability to serve. Our connectivity to the processional movement of all that is and our active participation within its context is realised by an active ready intention to serve wholeheartedly.
As human beings this is our highest calling - to serve. Given the nobility of being "made in the image of God" and given the responsibility to "rule over the earth", in the light of our servant king who said "let him who is great among you be as one who serves", this comes to no more than being a servant of all things at all times.
